STEP 01Prepare your business and number
Sign up and verify your email. Have your business name, address and website ready. Use a Facebook login that has the required access to your Meta business portfolio.
Already using the number on the WhatsApp Business app? You can keep it there — see Keep using the WhatsApp Business app below. If it is on ordinary WhatsApp, delete that WhatsApp account on the phone before you connect it.
STEP 02Open the connection flow
Open Settings in GetSetSales and choose “Connect your WhatsApp Number”, or “Existing WhatsApp Business app number” if the number is on the WhatsApp Business app. A short checklist shows what you need; then follow Meta’s signup window to select or create your WhatsApp Business Account.
Use a business portfolio you control. Your business number and account should belong to your business.
STEP 03Verify and finish the Meta steps
Follow the on-screen instructions to verify your phone number and complete the business profile. Review any payment-method requirements in your Meta account.
Meta may require additional checks. Approval, eligibility and messaging limits are controlled by Meta.
STEP 04Check that you are ready
Return to GetSetSales and check that the connected number appears in Settings. Review its status before preparing a campaign.
If connection fails, contact support with the step and error text. Never send your password or verification code.
OPTIONALKeep using the WhatsApp Business app
If your number is on the WhatsApp Business app, choose “Existing WhatsApp Business app number”. The number keeps working in the app on your phone and in GetSetSales at the same time. You will need the app at version 2.24.17 or newer and the phone in your hand: you confirm the connection inside the app.
Before you start, check two things Meta blocks: the number must not be linked to a Facebook Page (in the WhatsApp Business app, open Settings → Business tools → Facebook & Instagram and remove the Page; you can link it again afterwards), and the WhatsApp Business account you pick in Meta’s window should not be set up for Marketing Messages Lite (Meta’s separate marketing-messages service). If it is, Meta usually says the number is not eligible: pick or create a different WhatsApp Business account there.
- Your contacts, and up to six months of chats if you choose to share them, come into GetSetSales.
- Messages you send from the phone appear in the GetSetSales Inbox.
- Group chats, broadcast lists and calls on the phone are not shared.
- WhatsApp calling is not available through GetSetSales on this number: Meta keeps its calls in the app, so customers’ calls ring on your phone as before, and there is no calling pack for it.
- Disappearing messages, view-once messages and live location are switched off for one-to-one chats, and linked devices such as WhatsApp for Windows are signed out once when you connect; you can log them in again.
- Sending from GetSetSales is limited to 20 messages a second on this number.
Keep using the app on your phone. Meta disconnects a number left unused in the app for a long time. Ordinary WhatsApp numbers cannot be connected this way.
